KOCHI: Actor Mohanlal has given away the chain he wore for the film Pulimurugan at a function held in Kochi Travancore hotel on Thursday. The chain was received by Arun Prabhakar who had won the auction of the chain. Since Arun was travelling at the time of the auction, his manager Mathew Jose had taken part in the auction.

To own the chain made in the shape of leopard’s teeth, Arun had to spent Rs 1,10,000. The amount will be spent completely for humanitarian activities.

Lal handed over the chain saying, “see this is that chain…”. After giving away the chain, Mohanlal said such activities are big things. “I’m happy that amounts collected thus are used for humanitarian activities. Earlier, such an auction was held for the watch used in the film Oppam. This is a big stream of thought. This is a proof for the fact that big things can be done through small things,” Mohanlal said.

Mohanlal said that in the film Villain being directed by B Unnikrishnan, he is using specs and it would also be auctioned in a similar manner.

The auction of Pulimurugan chain happened in Mohanlal’s website – The Complete Actor. Besides Mohanlal’s films, photos, news and blog, the site has the sale of books related to Mohanlal and books/T-shirts with his signature.
