NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Friday ordered that the bungalow at Nelliyampathy, which it had acquired, be handed back to its owner.

The bungalow at Nelliyampathy Minnambara Estate was acquired by the government in 2013, alleging that it was located on forest land.

But the owner approached the court and secured a favourable judgement.

As per the verdict, the government should handover the bungalow to its owner within two weeks. The court also ordered reassessment of the land.
