THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minnaminugu, the film that had secured national award for Surabhilakhmi, will hit theatres on July 21. Srabhi herself has announced this after receiving the award from the president in New Delhi recently.

The film directed by Anil Thomas depicts the story of a woman who fights single-handedly for self-sustenance.

Surabhi emerged as a national award winner, outclassing Alia Bhatt, Sonam Kapur and Aiswarya Rai. In final round, the fight was between Surabhi and Aiswarya.

But the irony is that Malayalis have not been able to see the acting skill of Surabi since the film has not appeared in theatre or TV.
