NEW DELHI: United World Wrestling (UWW) president Nenad Lalovic has praised the Pro Wrestling League's (PWL) format, saying it provides the wrestlers an opportunity to earn more.

"We have to give an opportunity to our athletes to earn more and PWL has created that platform. The professional league has gained more spectators and increased marketing, leaving all the athletes happy," said Lalovic at the launch of official PWL -- Asian Championship Special Edition.

Lalovic felicitated the Pro Wrestling League team owners for their "determined effort" to promote the sport and extended his support to take it worldwide.

Also present on the occasion were the President of Asian Wrestling Chang Kew Kim and Wrestling Federation of India president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.

The UWW president also said that India will host a lot of international championships in the future.
