KOCHI: The Ernakulam Rural police probing the alleged abuse of a minor boy inside the Aluva Municipal Library have prepared a sketch of the accused with the victim failing to identify him.

The police said there had been no one else besides the librarian at the time of the incident. “The librarian came to know about the incident only after he saw the boy running out and a middle-aged man leaving the library soon after. As they have been unable to identify the accused, we have now prepared a sketch and sent it to various police stations to track him down,’’ officials said.

The incident took place on May 8 when the Class VIII student reached the library in the evening. The boy was alone on the first floor when a man forcefully took him to the unused second floor and subjected him to unnatural sex. The boy managed to escape after some time and revealed the ordeal to his parents.
