KOCHI: A two-year-old child died after food got stuck in his windpipe while having breakfast at Mattancherry on Monday. The dead was identified as Abdulla, the fifth child of Muhaviya and Sainaba, who live in a rented house at Kappalandimukku.

According to the police, the child was eating Vellayappam with blackgram curry when a small piece of the food got stuck in his windpipe. Seeing the child in distress, the parents rushed him to a private hospital where he was declared brought dead.
