THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Indian professional footballer C K Vineeth has been dismissed from the Accountant General’s office (AG office) due to low attendance, even after sports minister made a request against this.

Vineeth took charge as an auditor in AG office about four and half years ago on sports quota. However, he could not report to work for long periods owing to his active participation in the Indian Soccer league and the national team.

Meanwhile, Vineeth has said that he does not regret losing the job because it’s through football that he got the job, and that he hasn’t considered stopping to play the game. He made clear that he is not willing to attend job and stop playing, and that he’s not going to take any legal action against his dismissal.
