THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Making a veiled attack on BJP State president Kummanam Rajasekharan, Devaswom Minister Kadakampally Surendran, has said, allowing a person not in the prepared list to be near the prime minister during ribbon-cutting  ceremony of Kochi Metro Railway on Saturday was a serious flaw in the prime minister’s security. The SPG who is in charge of the prime minister’s security should view this seriously.

“A man, who is not even a panchayat member, was allowed to sneak into the totally official function of the prime minister, when even the Opposition leader and Metro man Sreedharan Nair were initially denied permission to be on the dais of the inaugural function,” he says on his Facebook post.

Kadakampally says that the person’s act is not only a question of righteousness but should also be seen as a security breach. “This is not the first time the prime minister is visiting Kerala. Such a thing has not happened before. The other day, in another venue also this person was seen, where he had no business. What is said here is not political difference… Security criteria and strong protocol conditions as per blue book should be followed. Those who violate this are defaming the administrative arrangement”.
