Actress Raai Laxmi made a bold revelation on Tuesday that actresses in the film industry had had to “share a bed” to get good roles in films.

She made this revelation while giving an interview to a national TV channel as part of the promotion of her new film Julie 2.

"I have heard about many such instances. Some succumb to such circumstances as they have no other way out. Until this situation changes, there won't be woman-centric films," she said.

This is for the first time that Raai is opening up on casting couch but she adds that she has had no such experiences.

Talking about her new film, she says she has done only the glamour role demanded by the character. "I have no answer to those who comment that I showed skin overtly. In Julie, I had to wear bikini, for which I had to shed 10 kg. I looked better in bikini. I chose the role and dress that are comfortable to me. I don’t ask anyone's opinion for that," she said.

Deepak Shivdasani's Julie 2 will release in August.
