Anushka Shetty, who had charmed the audience as Devasena in Bahubali Part 2, may make her debut in Malayalam as Draupadi. The big budget film Randamoozham will be the platform she would choose for this, according to sources.

Though frontline actresses including Aiswarya Rai, Manju Warrier and Nayanthara were named for the role, it is known that the preference is for Anushka.

Famous ad director Sreekumar Menon is directing Randamoozham, starring Mohanlal. Business magnet B R Shetty will be producing the film on 1000 crore budget.

During the promo of Bahubali, Anushka had said that she was interested in acting in Malayalam. Meanwhile, there has not been any official confirmation about Randamoozham role from the actress or the crew.

Small break

It is reported that Anuskha will not sign any new film soon, once she completes Bhagmathy. In Bhagmathy, Malayali star Unni Mukundan is appearing as Anushka’s hero.

In Baghmathy it will be Anushka’s historical role after the ones in Arundathi, Rudrama Devi and Bahubali.

After five years’ busy schedules in the film field, Anushka is getting ready for a break. During this period she is planning to shed weight to look slim and more beautiful.

She is reported to have developed some health issues after putting on weight for the film Inchi Iduppazhaki (Size Zero) and shedding weight for Bahubali.

She would be using the break to sort out these health issues also.

Meanwhile, there are also rumours that she has been visiting temples to ease off horoscopic hurdles for her marriage.
