New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Sufi saint Syed Fakhar Kazmi Chisti in his office in Delhi and discussed the current situation in Kashmir.

Prime Minister Modi urged the Sufi saint to send out messages for the promotion of peace and harmony in the valley.

He said, "You, along with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Ji, should go and send a message of peace to all the Sufis in the valley to promote peace."

PM Modi also expressed his desire to go and visit the Ajmer Sharif Dargah to Chisti. They last met in May 2016.
