KOCHI: The NIA has submitted a new charge sheet, including one more person as accused, in the case relating to the ISIS meeting held at Kanakamala in Kannur.

The new person added to the list of accused is Moinuddin Parakkadavu, who is a native of Kanhangad, Kasargode. The case against Moinuddin is that he provided financial help to the other accused from the Gulf.

Earlier the NIA had submitted two charge sheets against eight accused in relation with the same case.

Moinuddin, who was caught in UAE months ago, was deported to India. He was arrested and deported after finding out that he had maintained online contact with the people who held the ISIS meeting in Kanakamala. The NIA arrested him after he reached India on February 15.
