THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala has said that the UDF is united in their stance against the implementation of the Athirapally project. He clarified that both he and the former chief minister Oommen Chandy said the same thing about the project.

“Oommen Chandy opined that the government must not execute the project unilaterally. I too said the same thing. The media is twisting the words of Oommen Chandy,” he said.

Chennithala reiterated that the stance to oppose the project was taken by the UDF unitedly. He also pointed out that the Administrative Reforms Commission president is trying to side with the opposition to oppose the Athirapally project.

“If VS has anything to say about the project, let him voice it openly,” he said.

KPCC president M M Hassan said that the Congress’ stance is against the implementation of the Athirapally project.

Oommen Chandy demanded a general meeting before implementing the project.
