The song “Jimikki kammal…” from the Onam release of the Mohanlal starrer ‘Velipadinte Pusthakam’ became an instant hit in both Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

And thanks to a batch of students and teachers from the Indian School of Commerce, the song has reached popular American talk show host Jimmy Kimmel.

The students and teachers, dressed in the traditional attire of Kerala made of video of their dance rehearsal to the tune of the song and posted it in YouTube, which since then has been doing the rounds in social media, and has by now garnered more than five million views.

A Twitter user asked Jimmy whether he heard the song “Jimikki kammal…” that is doing the rounds on the internet.

It seems that curiosity got the better of the TV host and he listened to it, and he Tweeted back: “not until now, but I love it!”
