THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Cash and gold of 30 sovereigns were allegedly looted from a locked house in House No 34, Amma Residents Association in Palkulangara. The house belongs to one Viswanathan, who was away with his family to attend a wedding in Mavelikkara when the robbery was carried out. Viswanathan and his wife Girija left on Sunday to attend the wedding taking place on Wednesday.

When the couple’s son Vinod, working in Technopark, returned home at 1.30 am early morning, he discovered the locks on the door were broken and the gold kept in the bedroom downstairs was missing. On being informed the police reached the spot.
