Child singer Aswathy Nair is becoming noticeable by honouring India’s nightingale Lata Mangeshkar on her 88th birthday by rendering her song. She has sung the song Lag ja gale from the film Voh Khon Dhee, released in 1964.

Aswathy, who had a number of stage shows in UAE,  is an all-pervading presence in FM radio.

‘Mele Manathe Eeshoye’ and Vishu song Kandu Njan Kannane from album Nandagoplam are her hit songs. She also once got a chance to sing before Oscar winning music director A R Rahman.

Aswathy is a sixth standard student in Sharjah Indian school. She started learning music from the age of four. She is a daughter of Pettah natives Prashanth Nair and Deepthi. Seventh standard student Adithi is her sister.
