Actor Jayaram was in for a surprise when writer M T Vasudevan handed over a photo to him. It was the photo that the actor’s uncle Malayattoor Ramakrishnan had given to MT, asking him for a chance for his nephew in cinema.

Both had arrived for the inaugural function of Thunchan Vidhyaramba (Puja) festival at Tirur . This interesting thing happened on the side-lines of the function.

As the function was going on, MT gave the photo to Jayaram. MT said he chanced on the photo when he was browsing through Malayattoor’s old books.

Looking at the photo, Jayaram’s eyes welled up with tears of joy and nostalgia.

Jayaram, after completing his Degree, was going about with his passion for acting in films. It was then that he gave his photo to his uncle, as demanded by him. Malayattoor later handed over that photo to MT.

Jayaram, during his speech at the venue said that, for him, that photo was more important than National award.
