THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Fort police have registered a case against Popular Front of India (PFI) activists for untoward incidents that took place during a mass rally and public meeting that the organisation undertook on Saturday.

According to the police, a case has been registered for the alleged vandalism of a private bus near the Attakulangara junction by around 7 p.m. After accusing the bus driver of knocking down a participant, a few activists hurled stones and broke the wind shield of the vehicle.

Around 25 activists have been booked under sections of the IPC including those pertaining to rioting. A vehicle of a media establishment was also allegedly attacked by activists near Eenchakkal, giving way to slight tension in the area.
