MUZAFFARNAGAR: A 60-year-old man was allegedly strangulated to death by his wife and her lover after he opposed their illicit relationship at Bhanwada village in the district, police said Thursday.

Both the accused are absconding, they said.

According to SHO Girish Tyagi, a case has been registered against Naseem Bano (wife of the deceased) and her paramour, and efforts were on to nab them.

The deceased, Yasin Khan, had married Bano after the death of his first wife 15 years ago, he added.
