THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Senior Congress leader V M Sudheeran has taken to Facebook to say that the brutal game of making party members sacrificial goats and martyrs for political brownie points must come to an end.

He has said that Anandan, who got murdered in Guruvayoor, is the latest victim of the political killings continuing in the state ever since the current LDF government came to power. He urged the CPM and the BJP leadership to back off from this cruel killing strategy.

He added that the reason behind the repeated violence in the state is the failure of the police who fail to bring the culprits to justice and punish them ideally because of the various political pressures they are subjected to.

He further said that these parties kill at one end, while at the other end hold peace talks and compromises, and warned that the people are seeing all this.
