Renji Panicker will appear as a postman in the film 'Bhayanakam' to be directed Jayaraj. Asha Sharat is the heroine.   

'Bhayanakam' is the film in Jayaraj’s Navarasa Series, which included Shantham, Bheebatsam, Karunam, Veeram and Athbhutham.

After 'Ottal' that had amassed several awards, Jayaraj is coming up with this film, which is also set against the backdrop of Kuttanad.

'Bhayanakam' is an independent interpretation of two chapters of Takazhi Sivasankara Pillai’s ‘Kayar’. The film expands through the journey of a postman of Kuttanad.

Dr. Suresh Kumar is producing the film under the banner of Prakriti Pictures. M K Arjun is composing songs to the lyrics written by Sreekumaran Thampi. The cinematography is by Nikhil S Praveen.

The main location is Kuttanad and surrounding areas.
