         General Motors launches MPV Enjoy at Rs 5.49 lakh    
 
 
NEW DELHI: General Motors India on Thursday launched its multi-purpose vehicle Enjoy at an introductory price between Rs 5.49 lakh and Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The vehicle will compete with Maruti Suzuki India's Ertiga, which is priced between Rs 5.98 lakh and Rs 8.7 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

 
         Volkswagen launches Polo petrol variant at Rs 7.99 lakhs    
 
 
MUMBAI: Volkswagen on Monday launched a petrol variant of its popular hatchback Polo. The 1.2-litre new Polo is priced at Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), said Arvind Saxena, Managing Director for passenger cars, Volkswagen Group Sales India after the launch in Mumbai.

GURGAON: Japanese auto giant Honda on Wednesday launched a new motorcycle 'Dream Neo' in India's volume-driven commuter segment, priced at Rs 43,150, making it the company's cheapest two-wheeler in the country. The company's wholly-owned subsidiary Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India's (HMSI) 110cc scooter 'Dio' was its lowest cost two-wheeler so far in the country at Rs 44,718.

 
         Honda launches Amaze starting at Rs 4.99 lakh    
 
 
NEW DELHI: Japanese auto major Honda Motor Co today launched its much-awaited entry level sedan Amaze at a price range of Rs 4.99 lakh to Rs 7.60 lakh (ex-showroom,Delhi). The model is the company's first diesel offering in India. Its wholly-owned arm Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) is offering the car in petrol option as well. While the diesel option will be priced between Rs 5.99 and Rs 7.60 lakh, the petrol version will be available at a price range of Rs 4.99 lakh to Rs 7.50 lakh.

 
         Tata Motors to slash Indica, Indigo prices as sales plunge    
 
 
MUMBAI: Tata Motors set to slash prices of its Indica hatchback and Indigo sedan as its battles falling sales in the domestic market. The prices could be reduced by as much as Rs 50,000 and the minimum price cut on passenger cars (excluding Nano) will be around Rs 29,000, CNBC-TV18 reported on Saturday quoting a company official.

Harley-Davidson India Thursday launched the Fat Bob motorcycle at Rs 12.80 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The motorcycle, which will be assembled in Bawal in Haryana, has a 1,585 cc engine with a six-speed cruise drive transmission, and a fuel tank capacity of 18.8 litres.

 
         General Motors launches Sail U-VA at Rs 4.44 lakh    
 
 
General Motors India on Friday launched its premium hatchback Chevrolet Sail U-VA, priced between Rs 4.44 lakh and Rs 6.62 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).The car will be available in both petrol and diesel options. While the petrol version will be powered by a 1.2-litre engine, the diesel variant will have a 1.3-litre engine.The company claims the diesel engine can do 22.1 km per litre, while the petrol variant can cover 18.2 km in a litre.

 
         India gets its costliest SUV Evade at Rs 8.5 crore    
 
 
Toronto-based Conquest Vehicles, the manufacturer of the popular Knight XV, an armoured, hand-built SUV, has launched the Evade in India. Priced at Rs 8.5 crore, the Evade is the costliest SUV available in India. The vehicle is powered by a 6.8-litre engine that churns out 400 Bhp of power at 2215 Nm of torque.

NEW DELHI: Car maker Hyundai Motor India Ltd on Monday launched its new sedan Elantra at an introductory price of between Rs 12.5 lakh and Rs 15.8 lakh, as it looks to revive presence in the executive car segment in the domestic market. The company which had earlier planned to set up a diesel engine manufacturing plant at its Chennai facility said it has delayed the project due to lack of clarity of government policy on fixing of diesel and petrol prices.

         Ford recalls 129,000 sedans; wheels may fall off    
 
 
Ford Motor Co has recalled nearly 129,000 of its Mercury Milan and top-selling Ford Fusion in the United States because their 17-inch steel wheels may fall off, U.S. safety regulators said. In some vehicles from model years 2010 and 2011, the wheel studs may fracture and make the car shake. If ignored, the wheels may fall off a moving car, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said in a posting on its website.
