         Malayalam films my first priority, says Meghana Raj    
She became Malayalis’ household name after her dazzling acting in Beautiful, though she is a Kannadiga. A handful of Malayalam followed ‘Beautiful’, helping her to find a niche in Mollywood.

         Mammootty in 'Ache Din'    
Mammootty will play the lead role in G Marthandan’s film after Daivathinte Swantham Cleetus. The film has been named Ache Din. The director, who said the film, will be a complete family entertainer, refused to divulge more details of the film.

         Rs One crore just for a song scene!    
The song depiction in Vaisakh’s directorial venture Cousins, touted as the costliest ever affair in Malayalam cinema, is out in the public domain. The song which is said to have incurred Rs One crore was shot at Mysore palace and the shoot spanned 80 hours.

         Shruti in Karthi-Nagarjuna film    
It seems that actress Shruti Haasan has been approached to do the heroine’s part in the new film starring Karthi and Nagarjuna. There are reports that a few from the film crew have visited the actress to discuss the film. They later spread the word that Sruthi liked the script and had expressed her interest to be part of the film. Most probably she will pair up with Karthi.

         Nikki Galrani opposite Suresh Gopi    
Nikki Galrani, who has turned a lucky star in Malayalam films, has grabbed one more film. She has been roped in to play the lead opposite Suresh Gopi in Shibu Janardhanan’s Rudra Simhasanam.

         Dulquer’s hands are full with projects    
In Rajiv Ravi’s new film, the lead actor is Dulquer Salman. An interesting and strong character is awaiting him. The script has been written by P Balachandran.

         Ena again in Mollywood    
Bengali actress Ena Saha who reached Mollywood through Sameer Tahir’s Neelakasam Pachakkadal Chuvanna Bhoomi is again coming to take up a role in Malayalam film. Ena will be doing a character in the film titled ‘You too, Brutus?’, to be directed by Roopesh Peethambaran. In Sameer’s film, Ena had appeared in Sunny Vein’s heroine.

         Ajay Devgn Hindi remake of Drishyam    
Ajay Devgn who is busy with promotions of his upcoming next, Action Jackson has been roped in for a new film. It's now confirmed that the Hindi remake of Mohanlal's Drishyam will star Ajay Devgn in the leading role.

         Sreesanth enters Bollywood    
In a film to be produced by Pooja Bhatt, Sreesanth is set to make his debut in Bollywood. The film to be directed by newcomer Kaustav Narayan Niyogi has taken the title ‘Cabaret’

         Meera Nandan takes a break from films    
Meera Nandan, who started her career as an anchor later became a heroine through Lal Jose’ Mulla opposite Dilip. Reports say the actress, who has acted in various films, is taking a short break from it and will be working as a radio jockey in Dubai.

         Coming ..shooting week in Mollywood    
In Mollywood, it is shooting spree next week. Six films will begin shoot then. In the new comer Prajith’s ye- to-be titled film, Nivin Pauly and Manjima are the main stars. The camera will start capturing scenes in Thalassery on November 28. The script is Vineeth Srinivasan’s. Sreenivasan, Vineeth Srinivasan, Aju Varghese and Neeraj Madhav are the other stars. The film’s puja is on November 25. For the first 25 days the locations will be in Thalassery. From there, it will shift to Kozhikod

         Swargathekkal Sundaram    
Sreenivasan, Lal and Joy Mathew enact the main roles in a socio-relevant theme with family issues in the film Swargathekkal Sundaram, directed by debutant Manoj Aravindakshan. Asha Aravind is the heroine of the film. The shooting of the film is progressing.

         'Amar Akbar Antony' shoot in April    
Amar Akbar Antony is prominent TV anchor and actor Nadir Shah’s first film. An array of young stars like Prithviraj, Indrajith and Jayasurya are playing central characters here. It would be a full-fledged comedy film, says report.

After a long gap, cute South Indian actress Jyotika will come in front of the camera to act again. She would be playing the lead in How Old Are You’s Tamil version. In the original Malayalam version, Manju Warrier had immortalised that character. And, now the ball is in Jyothika’s court. Roshen Andrews himself will helm the directorial part of the film.

         Honey, Jayaram unite    
It will be chubby actress Honey Rose’ first outing with family hero Jayaram - the film is Shajoon Kariyal’s ‘Sir CP’. Old-time biggies Sheela and Jayabharathi are also acting in the film to be produced by Abhilash M Vijayakumar. Another speciality is, both these actresses are coming together to act in a film almost after two decades. While Suresh Babu will do the script work, camera will be wielded by Manoj Pillai.

         I’m in a relationship, says Priyamani    
National award winner Priyamani has finally revealed that she is in a relationship. There were gossips that the actress, a judge of a reality dance show in a Malayalam channel, is in a relationship with the show’s anchor and actor Govind Padmasoorya.

Now, one more actress from another state is entering Mollywood- that is Isha Ranganath from Sandalwood. She will make her debut as Dulquer Salmaan’s heroine. The yet-to-be titled film is to be directed by Vipin Raj.

         Nayanthara opposite Mammootty in Bhaskar the Rascal    
After a gap of four years, Nayanthara is back in a Malayalam film. She was last seen in Siddique’s Bodyguard in 2010 opposite Dilip. The actress will be seen in Siddique’s Bhaskar the Rascal opposite megastar Mammootty and news has been confirmed.

         Biju-Shweta pair again    
Lal junior is here with a new film after Hi I am Tony. According to information available just now, he is all set to do the film before taking up Driving License with Mammootty in the lead. Biju and Lal will be part of the Jean Paul Lal’s film, while Shweta Menon will be the heroine. The shooting is slated to begin on December 6 and Ernakulam will be the main location.

         Padmapriya ties knot    
Noted film actress Padmapriya got married to Jasmine, a native of Gujarat, at a private family function in Mumbai. Only close relatives and friends attended the wedding. The two met in New York City when they both were pursuing their Masters from Columbia and New York University (NYU) respectively.
