Arkansas eliminated the Kansas Jayhawks from the NCAA Tournament

The defending champion Kansas Jayhawks were eliminated from the NCAA Tournament. Arkansas defeated Kansas 72-71 in the Round of 32, sending the top-seeded Jayhawks home. Kansas controlled the action for most of the first half and the opening minutes of the second half, building a 12-point lead on two separate occasions. But Arkansas came back and used a 12-0 run to take a 52-51 lead. Davonte Davis rebounded with 21 second-half points for Arkansas. Rickey Council IV added 19 to Arkansas. Four Jayhawks scored in double figures in the game, with Jalen Wilson leading KU with 16 points. KJ Adams, Kevin McCuller and Tejuan Harris were also in double figures. Freshman Grady Dick had seven points. It was the first game KU lost all year while leading at halftime.
